Fabric shops in Tokyo

Hi everyone We're in Japan at the moment, going to Kinosaki and then Tokyo before heading home. I know that depatos should be a good starting point, but my question is: - if I want to buy some lengths of fabric (with typically Japanese patterns), is any one depato particularly good?;
- is there a fabric-selling district in Tokyo, where we might find a few shops together?
Thanks a lot for any help anyone can give.

There are more than 60 fabric stores in Nippori, mostly wholesale stores. Therefore, those stores close on Sunday and public holidays, unable to use credit cards, close earlier(17:00 - 18:00, Mon - Fri), close a third of stores on Sat, open until 15:00. Nippori is a very professional fabric town. It depends on where you stay in Tokyo, I would recommend you to visit Yuzawa-ya, Shinjuku Takashimaya dept store 11F(South exit). https://www.takashimaya.co.jp/shinjuku/store_information/index.htmlOpen:10:00 - 20:00(Mon-Thr & Sun), 10:00 - 20:30(Fri - Sat), credit cards are accepted, despite train fares and time for Nippori. Okada-ya also locates in Shinjuku central(East side). You can access between Yuzawa-ya and Okada-ya in 15 mins. But Okada-ya locates in a little hidden place(locates near Shinjuku alta). http://www.okadaya.co.jp/shinjuku/shop.html

Thanks again to everyone who's helped us with this query. I have a very happy wife, who bought loads of really nice fabric and has promised to make something for me.
