Shipping Yu-Pack from house?

Does anyone have experience with shipping a Yu-Pack with pre-paid postage from their house? How does this work? Do you call someone to let them know there is a package waiting for pickup? Or is it expected the mail man will pick it up on his rounds?

You take it to the post office or collect point?

I usually use Kuronoko's service so I don't have my own experience, however, Japan Post website states they have a telephone number for the collection service.

I am not sure whether they can understand languages other than Japanese, but if you speak slowly, they will try to understand, I think.

Japan Post, Kuroneko Yamato and Sagawa are competing, so they must try to provide better services.
