Cost of Baseball Jerseys at Stadiums 2016/4/19 08:54
Greetings again, its been a couple of months since I've posted and looking at my whiteboard here at work, can't believe my trip is already 89 days away; felt like yesterday I was asking you about my itinerary! Anyways, on to my question:

I'm a BIG jersey/uniform fan and while I don't plan to purchase a jersey at every baseball game I go to when I come over, I do want to buy a Balentin Jersey at Jingu and if they have it, a Matt Hague jersey at Koshien (probably just get a cap in Yokohama).

I've looked everywhere online and can't find the cost of jerseys at the stadiums; do any of you know how much they cost? (in yen is fine) This is just so I know if it is ok to buy one at the stadium, outside the stadium (at a sporting goods shop) or online.

In Toronto, a jersey with a player's name is at least $240.00 for the cheap stitched and the on-field stiched is a minimum of $330.00, just so you know for reference what I pay.

Arigato gozaimasu (sorry for the long text).

I bought a Nippon Ham game jersey for a friend last April in Sapporo and it was about 9,000 yen.

Hello Truck101,
Not sure if you wanted replicas or authentics, but according to the Swallows website, a Balentien replica is 9000 yen and the Authentic is 43000 yen. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find it at the official shop.

The Hanshin replica prices varies from 5000 yen - 8000 yen and the authentics 35000 yen. They don't have the Matt Hague jersey, so you might need to order the replica, have it made for you with the letterings and number.

The replicas are iron on stiched letters, they might peel off over time and quality of the fabric doesn't compare to Majestic's. But for the price of the replica, it'll be a great memorabilia from Japan.

If you'll be in Kansai, Hanshin Stadium and the Kyocera Dome has the NPB shops outside the gates, that carries the other teams merchandise. It might be a good thing to check it out.
Hope this helps.

Enjoy the games!

Sorry, didn't see it, they have the Hague replica jersey in the visitor colors. It's 7560 yen, to see his name and number, you'll need to pick the size first and then select is name.

If you wanted it in the home colors, it'll take 4 weeks on custom order or you could have it custom done at the shop, you would need to buy the uniform, letters and numbers and the staff will iron it on for you. The price might be more.

Ah, thanks so much guys! This is the EXACT info I was looking for, much appreciated.

Balentin is just the most modern proof that a foreigner can dominate in the league (I know about the balls) and Hague was with the Jays last year and I followed him closely in the minors and when he was a call-up; great hitter.

That Balentin one is a bit too costly, so I may just go Balentin replica and Hague official (or both replica, we'll see). If the price is even up to $50.00 Canadian more (about 4700 yen or so?), I'll be cool with it.

Many thanks, domo arigato.
