My JVC Cam corder has the following info printed on the adapter I use to recharge: Input 110v - 240 v / 50hz-60 hz Will it work in Japan?

The fact is that this device is a japanese brand (JVC) and it seems strange that the adapter is not suited for Japan itself. I asked to a person living there and he says it should work... but I'm worried about the 10 volt difference.

generally, the instrument which receives a wide rage of voltage has a voltage converter inside. (it works by the converted voltage.) the company knows that electricity in foreign countries is less stable than Japan. the instrument will accept at least 10 % lower or higher voltage (may be more).
