kanzashi? 2005/3/26 02:15
The hair accessory with the 'dangles' are usually silver with fabric 'blossoms'. They are worn in an updo by young women as well as geisha with wigs.

In the US, sometimes they can be found at Japanese dept. stores, esp. around Girls' Day or Obon season.

Other items worn with kimono are also found at these times.

This site has a kanzashi called princess (hime) kanzashi. It is a wonderful version of a bira bira. Enjoy.
