Rush Hours Shonan Shinjuku Line 2017/1/14 06:13
Hello everybody.

I am currently looking for an accomodation in Tokyo not very far from my working place, Shin Kawasaki.

I found a nice place in Ebisu (served by Shonan Shinjuku line) but I am worried that if trains are too crowded I will not make it on time for my job.
Does anyone know about the situation of Shonan Shinjuku line around 8 o'clok in the morning from Ebisu station?

Thank you in advance

From Shin Kawasaki to Ebisu area is very crowded.
However, from Ebisu to Shin Kawasaki direction is not so crowded.

I've traveled from Shinjuku to Ofuma at 8am in the morning. got on at Shinjuku, so packed you couldn't see your shoes. Once past Shibuya, maybe 10 people per car. And keeps getting less and less further away from central Tokyo.

Unless you want to ride in the reserved "Green" cars, don't they pack the train cars during commute periods? If so, then the question becomes whether you can sit or not, rather than whether you can catch a train.
