I would love to travel on this train but I may be too early in 2018. The guide mentions mid-late April but the website timetable shows 1 May. I presume there are seasonal weather issues but would appreciate knowing if the train journey is ever open prior to 1 May should the weather permit. Thanks to Japan-Guide for this wonderful forum!
