A commuter pass will have to be Pitapa.

If you commute the same route every day, then a commuter pass might be cheaper. However if you want to take different route day by day, most of the commuter pass does not allow it. You might think of an area pass which allow you to take all kind of transportation within a specific area, but this is quite rare in Japan. I think you should ask the support office for international students of Osaka University.

It depends on the distance of the section you will use and whether you are classified as a student or not. In general there are 通勤定期 or regular commuter pass and 通学定期 or student commuter pass. When you are classified as a student you will need a certificate issued by Osaka University. The price difference of two types of pass is big so you should ask the support office of Osaka University. Below are the price lists.

the route you wrote here is not a typical way to go to Osaka University. according to my memory, buses are not so frequent.
what department do you want to go ?

There are three campuses of Osaka University, and the official page of Osaka University shows the bus access from Senri-Chuo to Suita and Minoo campuses.

There are other ways of access, but train/monorail require more walk.

[qa] is there any office where i can consult about commuter pass and buy a commuter pass in osaka and where is it?

You can buy the commuter pass for the subway at subway stations (normally Senri-chuo or your starting station). There are station staff, so just ask them. You can take subway train from Umeda to Senri-chuo, but from Esaka to Senri-chuo is not Osaka municipal subway but is Kitaosaka Kyuko Railway.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kita-Osaka_Kyuko_Railway

I am not sure about the pass, but you might better ask at the staff of Kitaosaka Kyuko in Senri-chuo station.

This is the list of the ticket office for Hankyu bus.

https://www.hankyubus.co.jp/rosen/ticketcounter.html

I am not sure, but maybe you can buy the pass at 千里中央案内所 which is just next to the Senri-chuo station.

You are short-term foreign student so you might not be considered as "student" when buying commuter pass. You should ask the support office of Osaka University for this issue.

Re: Osaka Pass 2017/8/10 12:02
dental school in in Suita campus.
ordinary way to go to that campus from subway Shinsaibai station is:
take subway Midosuji line from Shinsaibashi to Umeda.
go to Umeda station of Hankyu railway by a walk (5 min).
take Kitasenri-line of Hankyu railway from Umeda to Kita-senri.
then walk for 20-25 min to the school.
at Umeda station, direct trains run every 15 min (I think), and if you take a express (in Kyoto line) and take off at Awaji, you can catch another train (to Kita-senri) which comes from the subway (as described below).

alternatively,
you can go (by a walk or subway) to Nagahoribashi in subway Sakai-suji line. take a direct train (subway) to Kita-senri.
Shinsaibashi - (by a walk or subway) - Nagahoribashi - (Sakai-suji line) - (through Tenjinbashi-6-chome and Awaji) - Kita-senri. direct trains run every 15 min.

the above two ways are more chaper (I believe) than your route, because my routes only take 2 railways, wheras your route takes 3 railways (subway, kita-oosaka-kyuko, Hankyu bus)
and more reliable.

about commuter pass,
you must be registered as a normal student. (probably you are not.)

if you buy a regular ticket or use IC prepaid card (both are the same price), you can choose the route with your desire every time.

It is not true that you need to be a student to buy a commuter pass; commuter passes for the general public (e.g., workers) are also sold, though they are more expensive than student ones.
