Ryokan with dinner at Kyoto 2017/9/6 08:27
Hello! I am visiting Japan for the first time next week so I am super excited! Bringing my mum and aunt to visit as well!

I would like to book for one night stay at a ryokan that serve dinner (kaiseki). Been doing quite a bit of research online and it doesn't seem like I can get any such package for less than £350 :( does it really cost that much?

I am hoping to be able to keep my budget around £250 for both of us. Do you have any recommendation? That will be very much appreciated!

I have stayed at the Hiiragiya Bekkan Annex which is a lovely ryokan in central Kyoto that serves kaiseki meals. It might be slightly above the budget you mentioned. Here's a link to a booking site with more details:

This is actually the same ryokan seen from 1:58 - 2:09 of Japan-Guide's Kyoto Top 5 video:

Have a great trip!

It might be one way to stop in the old style japanse ryokan like this.

And how about having famous kaiseki lunch at Kikunoi where is near the above ryokan.

The lunch is comparable with the dinner, I love it.
