Kurama Fire Festival 2017 - Rain?

Seems as though this weekend, Sunday especially, is going to be raining heavily in Kyoto. I’m heading there for the fire festival... how will things play out? Will they just postpone things? I can’t imagine much fire burning in the predicted rain!!

Apparently all off, no surprises there!

Oh no! I was expected to see this event. I could not find any information. Is it sure that it will be canceled?

I got an update on my facebook that it had been cancelled due to typhoon.

Can you link me to the post saying it's cancelled please? I was about to.get the train. Is it definitely off?

From what I can gather from the facebook page (that I think is the one of the shrine), the festival WILL GO ahead, but with some changes.
