Okinawa in Winter 2017/10/25 02:01
Hi there!
I am travelling to Japan in winter (december) and I would like to know if it is a good idea to visit Okinawa during winter.

Thank you,
Sergio

That is a fairly vague and unanswerable question.

All I can say is would you like to go to the beach in Winter, knowing it is cold? Only you can really answer the question. As everyone's definition of cold is different.

The idea doesn't seem bad at all, according to this website. You can do anything, the climate is milder and air fare and accommodation is cheaper. One downside I've heard of is that since Okinawa is supposed to be tropical, if the climate of that year happens to become abnormally cold, the heating facilities may not be comfortable enough.
