Hi there
I'm looking at the below travel on a 7 day card and it looks to be cheaper but I can't find Ilyama on the list so can't fully understand if it's better or not. Is it possible for tourists to buy the tickets for JR/bullet trains in Japan or does that have to be outside? Itinerary: 1/1 - Kyoto-Kanazawa (train) 2/1 - Kanazawa-ilyama (train) + ilyama-Nazawa (bus) 4/1 - Nazawa-ilyama (bus) + ilyama-tokyo (train) 5/1 - day trips in Tokyo 6/1 - day trips in Tokyo 7/1 - day trips in Tokyo
Thanks Chris

7 day card Do you mean the 7 day JR Pass? There are many different train and touristic passes, so please clarify which one you were thinking of.
Is it possible for tourists to buy the tickets for JR/bullet trains in Japan or does that have to be outside? Normal train tickets can be bought by tourists and locals alike at the train stations. If you however mean the 7 day JR pass, you should buy the voucher before coming to Japan. It can be bought in Japan but is more expensive.
Enjoy your trip to Japan!
