It says that the skyline road is closed until Mid april, we are looking to visit around april 1 2018. Is this road open for us to get to the 2 viewing decks? whats the best way to get to the two decks during this time

Basically, Oku-Nikko is in winter until the Golden Week. The area and the lake itself are in a highland after climbing Irohazaka Slope from the central Nikko. Tei-Kogai-Bus, the red route in the pdf below, starts to run from Apr 26. https://www.nikko-nsm.co.jp/web/wp-content/themes/nikko_nsm_01/bus/img...https://www.nikko-nsm.co.jp/web/wp-content/themes/nikko_nsm_01/bus/img...In my post above, I have explained Tobu Bus Line G, shown on the map below. However, Lines Y and YK run throughout a year. The basic route would be that you would leave the central Nikko by taking a bus to the bus stop #24 Akechidaira. There is a ropeway there to overlook Kegon Waterfalls, Lake Chuzenji, and Mt Nantai. Then, you may go to #26 Chuzenjiko Onsen, or up to #46 Yumoto Onsen. #37 Ryuzu no Taki and # 44 Yudaki Iriguchi could be popular in the green season. For the return, the bus goes to the northern path.
