Is there a combined pass usable on tokyo metro and jr rail around tokyo. Look for a 3 day pass

Yes, but it does not pay off. That pass and all other ticket options are explained here: https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2017.htmlMy recommendation: just use an IC card, such as Suica. If you plan your days geographically wisely, it will likely be cheapest and most convenient.
