Itinerary help 2018/3/11 01:59
Me and my wife will be arriving 19th March in Osaka , 2am following is our intinerary have few question regarding

19th March Osaka to imabari staying night in imabari . Whatfs is the latest option from onomichi to imabari??

20th March imabari to onomichi by cycle- staying night in onomichi
21th March takayama - staying night in takayama.
22nd March day trip to gokayama via shirakawa - staying night in Takayama
23rd March plananning to go Tateyama Kurobe Alopen Route and stay in Tateyama as it is closed till mid of April, does it worth to go ?? Otherwise will stay in takayama and move around.

24 March will go back to Osaka and will live in Osaka tilll 30th , **was too late to find better hotel in Kyoto but based on maps it seems Kyoto is not far so it will be possible To do day trips to Kyoto.

I am planning to use Jr pass first 7 days and rest 5 days willl use local pass on daily bases.

Please suggest me if anyone has better suggestion

Your post is a little vague and confusing.
You arrive at 2 AM and you want to immediately go to Imabari? Not going to happen. I presume you'll be staying at a hotel for the night near KIX or something first, right?
Then you want to go to Imabari first? Or Onomichi? If you want to go from Osaka to Imabari, the fastest way is via Okayama to Kagawa, then west to Imabari - you don't go through Onomichi at all. It will take you nearly 5 hours.
Onomichi to Takayama is close to 5½ hours by train. Very painful.

The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route as shown on
https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e7550.html
is open Apr 15th onwards - you're not going to that either, so if it's worth it or not is a moot point.

Going from Osaka to Kyoto is no big deal - just 30 minutes by train. I would also recommend you go see Nara and Himeji - both are worth your attention.

I suggest you consider changing your plans to make it more enjoyable.

Thank you so much for the advice Ken .

Here is the new Itinerary .

19th march 2 am arrival , Yes staying in a hotel Near by .

Morning will go to Kobe, afternoon will leave for imabari via Okayama-- Kagawa. ( How long will it take ?)

20th March imabari to Onomichi by cycle- and depend on our arrival time , will stay in Okayama or Hemiji.

21th March afternoon will leave from Hemiji to takayama - staying night in takayama.

22nd March day trip to Gokayama via Shirakawa - staying night in Takayama.

23rd March will move around in Takayama and will stay Okuhida

24 March will go back to Osaka and will stay in Osaka till 30th and visit ( Kyoto,Nara and near by attractions)

A definite improvement.
I suggest you use Hyperdia to see rail routes, fares, and times.
http://www.hyperdia.com
Under "More Options", be sure to uncheck the Nozomi box since you can't ride that train using the pass.

After seeing Kobe, go to Shin-Kobe Station to catch the bullet train (shinkansen). It will take about 3 hours to get to Imabari, as you can see here:

Just change the departure time to what you want.

Please note also that there is no rail access to Shirakawago - you need to pay for a bus from Takayama.
