Rush hour arrival - Better to get a Taxi? 2018/3/28 04:17
First time in Tokyo.

I will be landing at Narita at about 3:30 pm on a Wednesday. Assuming it takes about 90 minutes for customs, that puts me arriving via Skyliner at Keisei Ueno at about 5:30-6 pm. I'm guessing this is going to be crazy rush hour on the subway, correct? My hotel is right next door to a stop on the Ginza line, not too far from Ueno. So initially I thought that the subway would be convenient and cheap for that last leg of the journey.

But, we will have 2 mid-size suitcases and backpacks. Would it be advisable to just take a Taxi from Keisei Ueno, rather than trying to find and board the rush hour subway with suitcases?

One stop? I would take a taxi, cost you a pittance.

Well, I think it is two stops. Tawaramachi Station actually.

Remember, you still need to walk, carrying your luggage looking for the subway station.
Just take a taxi. It will only cost you a few dollars extra.
