Shibazakura conditions at late May 2018

Are there any info regards the flowers at shibazakura festival at 25 May 2018, I know from the site that the festival end at 28 May 2018. Is it too late to view to see shibazakura?

...the top entry, meaning the most recent update is the announcement that this year's festival will be from April 14 - May 27 (announced on Feb. 9), and down below, you will be able to see photos from 2017 with dates.

If you click on "2016" (archive) to the right, for example, you can see that in 2016 the festival dates were from April 16 - May 29.

And they say in that year, the "best viewing" began around April 29 and continued until... May 18, when they say "the best is now over," after which the festival continued until May 29 (you can see the photos under each entry).

You can guess, but never know, though.

If you look at photos from years with similar festival dates, you'll get an idea of how the flowers might look at.
