When to get "permission to work" 2018/4/3 17:53
Hi there,
My wife and I are waiting for our CoE, hers is a full work and mine will be dependant visa.
My question is at what point do I seek "permission to engage in an activity other than that on visa" (part time work) ?
Do I ask at consulate when getting visa or when I have a job offer or at immigration on arrival?
Thank you in advance Jamie

You do this after you get an offer, you need to submit the details of work and offer letter etc as supporting document to get the permission stamp

Students and dependents do not need a job offer; they get a "comprehensive" permit which is not tied to a particular job.
