Kusatsu Onsen Volcanic Status

As Mount Shirane erupted on January 23, and recent Volcanic eruption caution level increased on Apr22, is it still advisable to visit Kusatsu Onsen town? Is there any effect on the town? I'm planning to visit the place on Jun 2018.
Please advise. thanks

Good to know as I'm planning to visit Kusatsu town, along with other sites in Gunma during Golden Week.
I'm assuming Kusatsu Shirane will be closed due to its activity though...
