Shodo: hataku vs happun

hataku 波磔 vs happun 八分

Hello, I was looking up the names of different brush strokes in japanese calligraphy, when i tried to note this particular one, I noticed two different names in results. 波磔 「はたく」 or 八分「はっぷん」Which is more fluent? What would justify using one or the other? Thank you in advance

I wonder if happun and hataku might not be opposite notions.
I think 八分 happun, or 八分隷 happunrei is another name of clerical script 隷書reisyo, especially of its evoleved style, and 波磔 hataku is cursive part of each stroke of happun(rei).

I'd never heard those terms before in my life (Japanese here), but as I look up the terms, "hataku" is the triangular sweeping end of a stroke, and "happun" is the name of the style that comes with such sweeping end.

On this webpage, for example, the portion circled in red in the second image from top is "hataku."

And "happun" refers to the whole style of clerical script with this sweeping end.

Thank you both for your time! Yes in my enquiries I was just starting to find out that one is a specific type of single stroke and the other an ensemble of strokes. Style and detail one of aspect. I was induced in error when I read they were synonym but were in fact only "related".
