5 day Hokkaido itinerary

Hi all. Would like to ask for advice on planning a short trip to Hokkaido using public transport. We plan to be there 11 Sep 2018. Hope to receive some advice or more recommendations on rough itinerary:
Day 1 stay Sapporo
Arrive Sapporo 11.30am. ETA hotel 1pm. Clock Tower. Odori Park. Shopping at Sapporo Station area
Day 2 stay Sapporo
Sapporo-- Hokkaido Shrine. Hokkaido Historical Village. Mt Moiwa.
Day 3 stay Sapporo
Day trip to Otaru (45min train ride)
Day 4 Stay Noboribetsu
1.5hr train. ETA 10am
Hike to Hell Valley. Oyunuma Pond for foot bath. Demon Fireworks.
Day 5
1hr train ride to CTS for flight out to Tokyo.
We're wondering if we should visit Lake Toya. If we do, probably Will base at Noboribetsu and make day trip there. However, all the sights seem far out from Toya Station. There are 3 of us-- 2 are young adults. Is it possible to spend a whole day there? Or perhaps we should give it a miss?
