May I know Kin no yu onsen is separate gender or mixed gender. I m looking for separate gender onsen with affordable price at Arima Onsen here.

No, private bathes are not separated, just not "affordable" price.

Another question - is this onsen tattoo friendly. Just a small tattoo on arm and chest for guy.

Most of onsen are not tattoo friendly. Arima is not exception. You have to hide your tattoo with sticker like this, sold at Don Quixote.

Kin-no-yu (and Gin-no-yu) are sento (public bath house) that happen to use Onsen water. They are tattoo-friendly, I have seen them myself.
