Hi all!
So, I am planning a trip to Japan this coming fall and I wanted some advice on my itinerary.
It is as follows:
Days 1-3, Osaka, 4-7, Kyoto, 8-12, Tokyo
So, should I include a daytrip or should I spend more time in a certain area? I'd really love to hear your suggestions.
With love,
MilkyToast >_<

Use your stay in Osaka to visit Nara, Uji and Himeji. They are great day trips and Osaka is mainly fun in the evening.
In Kyoto go to Fushimi Inari at least and have a good look at the tourist bus map before you go to plan what you can best combine during the day if you want to get the most out of your stay. This site will help de determining the must see sights.
The days in Tokyo I would spend in the city. Hard to recommend what to do if we don't know your preferences.

While you are in Tokyo you should definitely visit Shibuja/Shinjuku. Go see some arcades, go shopping, visit Hachico. Don't forget to go up high somewhere to get a nice view of the city, you can do this for free at some places and you should also visit a public garden. My sister and I actually went to Japan this summer and it was the perfect time to go, we had a great time! I actually wrote two articles about all that we did in Tokyo: https://alovingladytravels.com/2018/07/04/how-to-make-the-most-of-thre... this one is about Shinjuku and this one https://alovingladytravels.com/2018/07/11/travel-diary-3-days-in-taito... is about the Taito area in Tokyo, where there are lots of gorgeous temples. You can rent a kimono here but it's really expensive. Osaka is cheaper for that. In Osaka you HAVE to go to Dotonbori for the amazing food there, but also if you love walking around in shopping centers haha. Also, universal studio's is in Osaka so you could visit. And don't forget osaka castle! If you want to see what Osaka is like you should watch this video https://youtu.be/sZ4MrIcWeicHope this helps!
