Differences between these 3 words? 2018/10/1 11:05
Hello guys,

Please explain the difference between Žž‹‹AŽx‹‹Aand ‹‹—Ώ for me, if there's any at all. The dictionary says that they all mean wage or payment. I think the last one also mean salary. I know in English we use wage, payment, and salary in different context. But which of these should be used in what situation?

Thanks! :)

Žž‹‹ is "hourly wage." The Žž is short for ŽžŠΤ / "hour."

‹‹—Ώ is "salary." It's usually used in talking about a monthly or yearly salary.

Žx‹‹ is "payment" or "compensation," and can be used for any monetary compensation for work done, either an hourly wage, monthly or yearly salary, or a flat fee for completion of a project.

You should use dictionary first before post.

Žž‹‹ is short for "ŽžŠΤ‹‹",
this Žž/ŽžŠΤ is short for "1ŽžŠΤ(ˆκŽžŠΤ)", and this ‹‹ is short for "‹‹—Ώ/‹‹—^".
it is mainly used as a unit of salary of "part time job(ƒAƒ‹ƒoƒCƒgAƒp[ƒg)".
It is not used for salaries of regular employees(³ŽΠˆυ),
but it is also used by temporary staff(”hŒ/”hŒŽΠˆυ).

Žx‹‹ is also used other than ‹‹—Ώ/‹‹—^, not only for money.

‹‹—Ώ means one of these, ŽžŠΤ‹‹, “ϊ‹‹, ŒŽ‹‹, ŒΕ’θ‹‹(Šξ–{‹‹), •ΰ‡‹‹ or ”NŽϋ,
also including ά—^(ƒ{[ƒiƒX) means bonus as total cases a lot, but it is not what everyone gets.
In some special occupations using annual salary(”N•ξ) system.

We call "ŽθŽζ‚θ(te-do-ri)" for salary minus some tax(Ε) and insurance(•ΫŒ―).
Those not attached to salary are called "Žθ“–‚Δ(te-a-te)",
such as allowance for overtime work(Žc‹ΖŽθ“–), transportation expenses(Œπ’Κ”ο/’Κ‹Ξ”ο),
housing assistance(Z‘ξ•β•/‰Ζ’ΐ•β•) etc,
this video is one sample of pay statement(‹‹—^–ΎΧ).

(His commentary may be hard to hear, bc he often cough by bad throat.)
He lives in a company dormitory(—Ύ/ŽΠˆυ—Ύ/ŽΠ‘ξ),
and parking lot fee(’“ŽΤκ‘γ) of his car etc are also drawn.

This is not an explanation about Japanese,
but if you are studying kanji to work in a Japanese company, you'd better watch it.

"You should use dictionary first before post"

Lmao even though the OP already stated that he used the dictionary. Maybe the one he used was just not clear enough and he just wanted clarification.
