Hi guys,
Does anyone know when is the best season to visit Wakkanai? I mean lots of sunshine, mild weather. I was there last week but it was raining and super windy. Before the trip, I thought July would be nice with flower blossoms and sunshine (cosf summer!). But in fact, the weather was like itfs coming into rainy season :((( Anyway, Ifm planning to come back. Next year maybe. So I need your advice. Is mid-May good with sakura? Or early Jun? Ifll probably tend to avoid Jul. Many thanks.

I guess you got unlucky. I went in the first week of September and weather was fine. Can I guarantee that it will be when you go? No.

Of course no one can guarantee. I just ask for the trend. I think Jul could be rainy season since it rained for 4-5 consecutive days when I was there.

I visited Wakkanai, specifically the Rebunto, first in late May, and found the weather was perfect, but too early for the flowers. Decided to revisit late July the following year, saw nothing but fog for 3 days . Revisited Wakkanai last Aug, a wee bit hot, but blue sky and beautiful weather.
