Japanese healthcare system

People who live in Japan, how is their healthcare system?
How would you rate it? What's good and what's bad about it?

Compare to your country, let's say the US for example, is it better or worse? Why?

I do not think this scientific data can be used as comparison.

It seems to be a question to do some research on google on before asking some random and way too small sample size of people about their own opinion.

Anyway the fact that Japan has one of the highest life expectancies would attest to the fact that the healthcare system is also pretty good. (Yes, I know there are other reasons for a long life as well...)

I see no significant difference with the system in my home country (western Europe).

So you wanted a comparison to "e.g. the US". Well, I can hardly imagine a health system that is worse than the US... (in the developed world) but yeah, New Zealand seems to be even worse.

According to this study Japan is 10th, US 37th, just behind Costa Rica and only 2 ranks before Cuba. However the US spends 14 times more than Cuba to get just 2 places better than Cuba.

So do you guys want to have Japan's healthcare system in your country?

Compared to the Dutch system I preferred the Japanese one. Compared to the Spanish one, I prefer the Spanish one. And compared to the German I prefer the German.

So I guess it depends.
