Getting my koseki tohon from Canada

I am a Japanese born in Japan and I have a valid Japanese passport. I live in Canada for 20 years and need my "birth certificate", or what we call koseki tohon. But my parents are no longer alive and I do not have known relatives in Japan who can help me. How can I get it from Canada?
