Looking for my family crest in Ishikawa 2022/9/7 05:05
My dad's family is from Matto City in Ishikawa-ken and our family name is Yamaguchi. Can someone help me find our family crest? I've seen some crest for Yamaguchi but I wonder if that's the only one or if each family has their own variation. Any info would be very helpful, thank you!

Yamaguchi is a fairly common name, and so two people who both have it may or may not actually be part of the same family. In addition, not all Japanese families have a family crest, especially if they werenft part of the aristocracy.

Your best bet might be to try to contact relatives in Matto, or perhaps someone at Matto city hall, to get specific information that pertains to your family.

An old gravestone is likely to have the family crest engraved. I hope you can track one down.
