When does an ERFS certificate expire?

I am traveling to Japan on Dec 27th. The travel agency I used for my tours issued a certificate on Sept 10. I will apply for my evisa on Sept 27 so itfs within 90 days of my arrival date. Therefs only an issue date of sept 10 on the ERFS. I read somewhere itfs only valid for 90 days from date of issue but I canft find the source again. Anyone know when an ERFS expires? Thank you.
