Kawaguchi-See to Hirayu by car in November

Hello everyone,
i wanted to ask if its a good and safe idea to drive from Kawaguchi-See to Hirayu onsen in late November. We wouldnt like to have snow along our drive and i am not familiar what is the condition on the streets? Anyone that has done it or any recommendation? We plan to have a car in Kawaguchi-see and we would like to head to Takayama after and stay in an onsen town. It seems that driving takes 3 hours and with bus/train more than 5 hours.

I believe there is a chance of snow around Hirayu which is the highest point along the route.
It seems that driving takes 3 hours and with bus/train more than 5 hours.
It is about 3.5 hours by car.

There are some hairpin bends going from Takayama to Hirayu onsen so if youfre happy with that plus snow, ice go for it.
The bus is always a better option.
