October 2023 Trip Planning

Hi :)

My Partner and myself are looking at booking a holiday to Tokyo next October (2023) for two weeks. We are mainly staying in Tokyo for this trip but would like day trips outside of Tokyo.

On this occasion, we don't think we will be travelling to Osaka or Kyoto because we would like a different trip dedicated to these locations and nearby ones.

We are definitely looking at visiting Hakone for a overnight visit but does anyone have any suggestions of over day trips?

We will not be renting a car so would need to be able to access the locations by bus or train.

We both love Pokemon and Digimon so would also love suggestions on where to visit for these? Other then the Pokemon Cafe, that's definitely on the list :P
