Covid Positive before entering Japan 2022/11/5 12:07
Hi does anyone know if I was covid positive within 14 days of entry but is negative before date of arrival, am I allowed to enter Japan? I am fully vaccinated. Thank you!

If you have received three vaccine shots, then you just need a vaccination certificate to enter Japan. Otherwise, you need a negative test result taken within 72 hours prior to departure. Whether you tested positive 14 days earlier is irrelevant.

Hi Uji, thank you for your reply.

During arrival there is a questionnaire https://arqs-qa.followup.mhlw.go.jp/#/Q1-1 to declare my physical condition. I am worried about ticking yes for contact with positive person, and having symptoms in the last 14 days.

Do you think I will be allowed in if I say yes to those questions? Thank you!
