What restrictions are there currently due to Covid in Tokyo and the surrounding area? And it is to be expected that individual tourism will be restricted again in the event of a possible increase in Covid in winter?

There are no restrictions, but everybody wears masks and you have to wear plastic gloves at buffets, etc. The government is unlikely to introduce any new restrictions unless a new variant appears that is considerably more dangerous than the current variants.
