Hokkaido summer best time

Hi,
We're planning about two weeks in Hokkaido during the summer.
We have no preference regarding the exact timing between late June till the end of August.
Are there any particular 2-3 weeks during this period that are best to or Hokkaido in terms of festivals, weather, busy time, food season etc ?
