You mean the street leading right up to Narita-san Shinshoji Temple?
I donft think they gcloseh during the New Yearfs Days – this temple ranks 2nd within Kanto (greater Tokyo) region for the number of people who visits during the New Yearfs Days (most try to go during the first three days of the year), at about 3 million people, only after Meiji Shrine in central Tokyo.

As mentioned by the others, the Naritasan Omotesando will be one of the busiest areas in all of Japan during the New Year holidays!
