Zazen session/lectures held in English 2022/12/15 22:38
Good afternoon, I am going to Japan beginning next year and I am looking for a temple to practice Zazen (beginner). I am trying to find a temple that is open to non-Japanese speakers. Does anyone knows where to look?

I will be traveling through Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Nagano and around so anywhere around the region will be extremely helpful.

Thank you so much!

Myoshinji Temple in Kyoto is famous, but it is currently suspended.
It may be held again next year, so please check here.

Myoshinji, which I mentioned earlier, may not have English support.
Shunko-in, affiliated with Myoshin-ji, also speaks English.

Reservations are required and may only accommodate groups.

It is also held at Taizo-in, but only 10 or more people are accepted.

Although the date is limited, it is also held at Kenchoji Temple in Kamakura.
