Buy JR pass or another pass for my itinerary?

i need a suggestion about to buy JR pass or another pass or just pay train tickets for my 7 days itinerary below:

osaka to hiroshima day trip
osaka to kobe day trip
osaka to universal studios japan
osaka city tour

To give a bit more info, you'd fall woefully short from making the 7-day JR Pass pay off. You'd do just fine with the JR West Kansai-Hiroshima Pass, and in fact you can take the Nozomi trains with it and get there much sooner.

You can save some good money with the full JR Pass if you travel far enough. But if you don't, you will lose money on a pass. Please don't drink the Kool-Aid that everyone going to Japan should get one.

is JR West Kansai-Hiroshima Pass able to make seat reservations for free? Thank you.
