Buy Suica w. credit card at service counter?

We'll be a group of 8 arriving in Japan, so I'll need to buy 8 Suica cards.
Is it possible to pay for the Suica cards with a credit card if I buy them at a JR service center's counter?(where we'll also activate our JR passes.)

Those offices are busy enough activating rail passes. I wouldn't think it proper to try there, plus, I don't think they provide that service.
