Travel from Nagoya to Fukui to Kanazawa

I will be travelling for 10 days, What is the best way to travel by train or bus from Nagoya to Fukui to kanazawa and back to Nagoya? Is there a rail pass or bus pass that covers this route?

Hi I've never done that trip but maybe if I start the ball rolling someone will correct me. I would go Nagoya to Maibara (shinkansen) then JR Hokuriku line to Fukui, then JR Hokuriku line to Kanazawa.
On the way back, personally I would go Kanazawa - Takayama (bus or thunderbird to Toyama then wideview Hida to Takayama) and then Takayama - Nagoya (wideview Hida), as it is a very nice trip through the mountains and the alternative is to go via Fukui again, which you have already done.

There is a limit express between Nogoya and Kanazawa. Stops at Fukui also.
Not worth a pass as it is only combind 16,000 yen.
