Descending Mt. Fuji by foot 2023/2/8 05:39
Hello,

Is my idea crazy? In early October I plan on riding the bus to 5th Station of Mt. Fuji, and then going all the way DOWN the Yoshida Trail by foot. I know the climbing season will be over by then.
I watched Google Maps and Street View of the Yoshida Trail, and it seems quite manageable, not very steep and quite pleasant. The calculations show it'll take about 3-4 hours to go down with a calm pace.

Any warnings? Cautions?

Thank you.

Hi, it's a very nice idea! It's a really beautiful path full of historical sites that pilgrims used to climb. I have climbed from the bottom to the summit in August - this is my climbing report: https://betifulworld.com/climbing-mount-fuji-from-the-bottom-the-yoshi...

Enjoy your adventure!
