Early transport Shinjuku to Chureito Pagoda

I was thinking of heading out early at 6am from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko, making a stop in between to visit Chureito Pagoda.
Looking at the Fujikyu bus timetable, seems like the earliest bus from Shinjuku that has a stop at Chuodo Shimoyoshida only starts at 7:15am. As an alternative would be advisable to use the Chou Line/Fujikyuko Line train instead, was wondering if this route would be too much of a hassle? I am getting the Fuji Hakone pass so part of the route on the Fujikyu Railway would be covered
Shinjuku Station (JR Chuo Line) Otsuki Station (Fujikyuko Line) Shimoyoshida Station (Fujikyuko Line) Kawaguchiko Station
Or still take the 6am bus but stopping at Fuji-Q Highland and back track to Shimoyoshida Station using the Fujikyuko Line train?
Thanks.

Both options seem to be okay. Bus more direct a nd faster but needs a taxi from Kawaguchiko. Train slower and a few changes. But gets you to the station at the foot of the pagoda.
