JR Pass between Osaka and Naoshima

I am planning to go from Osaka to Uno and back from Uno to Osaka, to visit Naoshima island. No other trip foreseen in train. I wonder if it is worth to buy a pass or if I can just buy my tickets when I am in Japan.

The national JR pass would be over-kill. I doubt even the regional passes would be much of a saving.

Osaka - Uno 1 way of s short of 8000 yen with Shinkansen. So it would seem that the JR Kansai wide pass for 5 days at 10,000 yen covers up to Uno and would be cheaper than the single ticket:
