JR East Pass Tohoku area covers Mount Fuji?

Hi was wondering if the JR East Pass(Tohoku area) covers Tokyo to Mount Fuji train as well. Thanks.

It gets you as far as Otsuki Station, from where it is a 1170 yen train ride to Kawaguchiko at the northern base of Mount Fuji.

If you are asking because you want to know if it is outside of the covered area, it is not. The pass covers the JR lines, even beyond Otsuki to Kofu. The reason it is not fully covered is because Fujikyu Railway is a private railway. Otsuki is where you can transfer from the JR Line. One you are on the Fujikyu Railway, you have to pay for the trains (and buses).
