Least climbing access to Yu Road Travelator

Ifm planning a ski trip to Nozawa Onsen march 19-23 for 6. I know even though the town is small but some areas are hilly. We want to minimise encountering steep slopes from Chuo Bus Terminal to the ryokan as well as from the ryokan to Yu Road. Between these 2 areas which one has a gentler slope between the bus terminal, Yu Road and areas with most eateries :
1. Ryokans next to Oyu (Jannobi/Sakaya)
2. Ryokan next to Ogama Onsen (Sumiyosiya)
Secondly, I know Yu Road goes up to Hikage ski area while if we catch the free shuttle, it goes to Nagasaka ski area. Which of the 2 is recommended for better beginner runs? We have skied many times but while the rest are ok with intermediate runs, I prefer long and relaxing beginner runs.
