We are going to Japan from 6th October to 8th November, we have been to Sapporo and Tokyo before but everywhere else is new.
It's our 6th trip to Japan, we are a middle-aged couple without kids, really into great food and drink, love going out at night, exploring cities, shopping, museums, hiking, cycling, coastal drives etc.
We have tried to plan a good variety of cities, countryside, coastline, lakes, onsens, mountains etc.
I speak basic Japanese, pretty rubbish but enough to have a simple conversation, arrange stuff etc. (With a little more kanji Ifd probably pass N5 and know some stuff from N4)
I'd love if anyone could point out anything stupid, any missed opportunities, recommendations etc. that we haven't considered.
We're still filling out Tokyo and Sapporo but will spend the last 5 Tokyo days based in Asakusa so will spend a chunk of time in that side of Tokyo, visiting the Ueno museums, buying crockery at Kappabashi, stuff like that.
Previously in Tokyo we stayed in Shinjuku, Shibuya, Shinagawa and Shinbashi.
Saturday 07.10.23 - Travel/Sapporo
- Arrive at Haneda then get connecting flight to Sapporo
- Dump bags at hotel (JR) and have sushi lunch at Nemuro Hanamaru
- Shopping and Relaxing with Izakaya dinner before collapsing
