Hello I want to get a Tokyo metro 72 hr pass.
I will be using lines that are both metro and non metro in the 1 journey.
I also have a regular passmo (from 2018). is there a way to put the metro pass onto the IC card so that if I touch on at a gate that is non metro and then exit at a metro gate it can detect the 72 hr pass and deduct money accordingly? Or do I need to exit and hop back in again?
If yes, can I also do it on a digital passmo or equivalent digital IC card for my friends?
Example- Ifm going from Shinjuku gyoenmae station to Yokohama station and itfs a mix of subway and non subway trains.

- Tokyo Metro: For Customers Visiting Tokyo https://www.tokyometro.jp/lang_en/ticket/value/travel/index.html: See gTokyo Subwayi24-hour , 48-hour , 72-hourjTicketiICjh and check the details. Itfs not a Tokyo Metro pass, but a Tokyo Subway pass. Tokyo Metro operates nine of the thirteen subway lines in and around Tokyo. The other four are Toei Subway lines (Asakusa, Mita, Oedo and Shinjuku Lines). Example- Ifm going from Shinjuku gyoenmae station to Yokohama station and itfs a mix of subway and non subway trains. If you are outside the subway network for several hours, this pass may not pay off. I recommend you avoid weekday morning commuters' rushes. - Tokyo Subway Route Map (as of March 2023) https://www.tokyometro.jp/lang_en/station/202303_number_en.pdf

and itfs a mix of subway and non subway trains. Exactly - you have to leave one rail company and go to another company. That can either being leaving one station and entering a different station (of the other company), or using a transfer gate if one is available. As a general comment, I have never considered those 72-hour passes good value for money as it restricts your travel in the city (ie, no JR trains) adding to travel time trying to make a few dollars of savings when you liited holiday time is much more valuable.
