Romance car Hakone to Shinjuku

Hello,
We are travelling from Hakone to Shinjuku and were thinking of taking the romance car. I can see it is recommended to sit on the right from Shinjuku to Hakone, but unsure about in reverse?

It doesn't matter. For Shinjuku heading to Hakone the right hand side is because (on a clear day) there are a few spots where you can see Fuji.
