Risshakuji/Yamadera closed in Oct/Nov 2023?

Was planning to make a visit but noticed on their website it says they are open from April -September and from December to March. I can't find any info posted anywhere else stating it's closed 2 months out of the year.

I checked with the tourist association and they say it's open until 4pm from April to November.
However, if the weather is bad, it may close early.

It is true that the Risshokuji Temple web page does not have information for October and November. I called the phone number written here, but it connected me to the tourist association, but I couldn't find the contact information for the administrator of the web page.

Thank you. I understand that if weather conditions are poor then they will close early. I emailed them in English and hope to get an answer if they are really closed for 2 months entirely.

Today, I checked with the Yamadera Tourism Association and asked them to correct the gate opening and closing time data on their web page.
It is definitely open in October and November.
However, since the closing time was not clearly determined, it may not have been possible to post it on the web page.
There are no outside lights at Risshakuji Temple, so it becomes pitch black once the sun sets.
So, officially, the closing time is affected by sunset.
The sunset in October is after 4:30 pm, so you'll probably be fine until 4:00 pm, but the sunset in November is before 4:30 pm, so it could be as late as 3:30 pm.

If you go as early as possible, you can tour without having to worry about the closing time.

Thank You @Haro1210. I assumed that it was something like this but it's nice to have it confirmed as my next trip has been built around visiting there this November.

I have received an email reply and they are open!

"From October to November, visiting hours at Risshakuji Temple are from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Descent until 4:30pm)."
