Reservations Joya no Kane Chion-in Temple

Hi everyone, I'm going to stay in Kyoto for the NYE 2024, and I'm planning to attend the Joya no Kane (108 bell ringings ceremony) at Chion-in Temple. Last year, reservations were a must, but I've scoured the temple's website (https://www.chion-in.or.jp/event/annual_event/) and couldn't find any mention of reservation requirements for this upcoming year. Can anyone shed some light on whether this year the event will be open to everyone without reservations?

Reservations will probably be necessary this year as well.
Last year, applications were accepted from 12:00 noon on Monday, December 12th, so reservations will probably start around that time this year as well.

There are no restrictions on the number of people participating in the bell-ringing test, but depending on the situation, the tour may be canceled.
Last year, it was on Tuesday, December 27th from 2:00 p.m.
