Kawaguchiko to Subaru Line 5th Station

I would like to to catch the bus from Kawaguchiko to the Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station at a certain time on a set date, but it says that seats need to be reserved. Would anyone know how I can reserve seats and how far in advance this can be done! Also, can I please confirm the Fuji Pass cover this trip. Many thanks.

You are misinformed! Seat reservations are not possible on the bus from Kawaguchiko Station to the Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station.

If you mean the Mt. Fuji Pass, yes, it is covered. But it is not covered by the Fuji Hakone Pass or the Fujisan Fujigoko Passport.
